Graduate Application Overview

There may be a delay between when you submit your documents and when they appear as complete in your application portal — don't worry! They will be processed and added to your file by our admissions team.

Hi and thanks for starting your application to UMass Boston. You’ll begin by providing basic information about yourself. From there, you’ll indicate the term that you’re applying to, as well as whether you’ll be a full- or part-time student. Under the Additional section, you will include the contact information for the people that will be writing letters of recommendation on your behalf. When you submit the application, they will receive an email with instructions as to how they can upload the letter. In this section you will also upload your résumé and statement of purpose, as well as any additional information as required by the program that you are applying to. Then, you can submit the application. At that point, you should request official transcripts of any university you’ve attended in the past to be sent to our office.
